Business not as usual REVIEW! #1652

Name of the book – Business Not As Usual

Name of the author – Sharon C. Cooper

This book is a cute romance story, where a multi-millionaire guy falls in love with an ordinary woman! And, I ADORE THIS TROPE!

The love interests are – Dreamy Daniels (I love her name) and Karter Redford.

Dreamy is a bubbly girl, who is passionate, empathetic, who is determined to win a lottery super soon. She lives with her cousin and grandpa in a not-so-safe area in Los Angeles. Her grandpa’s medical expenses and daily household expenses make her and her cousin work as hard as they can, but still, it becomes difficult for them to make ends meet. Also, Dreamy works as a secretary, and her boss is the most narcissistic person I have read about! He runs a tech company and gives zero-f* about others, always blaming them for his faults, and Dreamy gets impacted the most. But one day, they have a very crucial meeting with Karter Redford, who is a super-rich investor and when she sees him, she can’t stop thinking about him, but she knows that he is way out of her league.

Karter Redford has recently lost one of his best friends, and that is making him question everything about life. Karter was born to a famous family, where his father is an A-list celebrity, so he knew fame and money from the beginning. However, because of this, he knows the intent of people when he meets them. After his recent breakup with a woman who wanted him for status, and before that, an engagement breakup because the woman used him for connection, Karter is not looking for love at all. However, he eventually wants a happy and sweet family. Karter Redford has a sharp eye when it comes to investing in business, and he sees potential in a tech company. There he meets Dreamy and his world turn upside down!

Dreamy and Karter, coming from different statuses in society find a middle ground and the most interesting thing about these characters is – their individuality. In romance books, characters mainly lack this but this book portrays mature characters in this way. Yes, stupid things do happen around them, and that becomes the humour part of the book, but that doesn’t feel unnecessary.

This book is not only interesting till the end, but it will make you learn a lot, like love yourself no matter what people think. Wrong People will come and go, but the right ones always stay. I loved reading this book. It was so easy to read. If you are going through a slump or want a quick demand from you, read that doesn’t go for this beauty! I highly recommend it.

Rating of the book – 4⭐/5⭐
