Kalbhojaditya Rawal REVIEW! #658

Name of the book- Kalbhojaditya Rawal

Name of the author- Utkarsh Srivastava

Story of the book-

Kalbhoj was hailed as a hero after killing two of the best Arabian warlords on the Brahmanabad battlefield. And the fame of that Maharishi Harit student and ardent Shiva devotee reached Bagdad, the Iraqi capital. Following the victory in the battle, Sindhuraj Rai Dahirsen warned Sultan Alhajaj and Caliph Al Walid Bin Abdul Malik of Iraq to retake Sindh from the Arabian forces stationed there.

Sultan Alhajaj Bin Yusuf picked one of his best commanders, Hakim Muhammad Bin Qasim Al Sakifi, to revenge this humiliation and capture Sindh. The visions Kalbhoj saw in the Sabarmati river when he returned to his native Nagda following the bloody battle of Brahamnabad exposed his old scars. There were a lot of questions that sprang to mind when he finally met his relatives. Those nice faces were suddenly coming off as deceptive ones. All of his goals were being overtaken by the darkness of lies and uncertainties, and the way forward was completely illogical.

On the other side, Muhammad Bin Qasim despatched his 200 convoys to be spread across the Hind, pretending to be traders, slaves, and blacksmiths to understand and adopt the Hind culture and be convincing enough to carry out his plan to conquer Sindh. When Kalbhoj discovered his unintentional reality while in Nagda, he felt as though he had been leading a false life all these years while claiming to be on the side of righteousness. He was now, however, certain of the route he needed to go with his sword.

My review-

I always get excited to learn about history. History teaches us about our ancestry and culture. The author uses this book to teach readers about the value of history and the necessity of preserving it. This book is not appropriate for beginners because it requires an experienced reader who can absorb so much material. The story will undoubtedly, and rightfully, have additional parts in the future, as hinted at by the novel’s finale. All of the interactions and personalities are well-written and have a big influence on the readers. Since most children are unaware of mythology, this book is excellent for introducing it to them through stories and facts.

I was completely engrossed in this book from start to finish. Both novices and history enthusiasts may read it. It is logically worded. The story is fascinating. The story also provides a lot of space for character development. It is unequaled in how history, the cow dynasty, and religion must be preserved without resorting to superstitious justifications in this book’s scientific and rational explanations of their significance. This book includes the historical biographies of several more heroes, including Chalukyarah Vikramaditya’s victory over Mahamalla Narasimha and ascent to the title of Rajamalla, in addition to the tale of Bappa Rawal’s ascent to the throne of Mewar.

This is the tale of a valiant monarch and how his history has unexpectedly impacted his present. This book contains a lot of obscure historical information. A well-written book containing a lot of crucial information was required. I will suggest this book to everyone who enjoys an epic tale filled with intrigue, adventure, and grandeur.

Rating of the book- 4.5⭐/5⭐
